Our Family Pairi Daiza Adventure

We went to Pairi Daiza last year during October for Marlon’s family day at work. This time we are alone to have our own time, adventure as a family. The zoo park is enormous and full of animals that are taking care of almost in the wildlife. Laia was not that interactive last year, what do you expect with a year and half baby girl. Now, we are curious to know how she will react and appreciate our second adventure to Pairi Daiza.

Why Visit Pairi Daiza?

They are Multi-awarded

The animals are well fed, taking care of and the entire park is family friendly! Belgium is very proud of this zoo/park being awarded excellence! Check out this link to see their awards more than the above badges Pairi Daiza Awards.

Learning with the animals

The most amazing part is, of course, kids of every age can learn together with their families and peers! There are so many group activities you can do at Pairi Daiza, I saw scouts around the park, different kinds of institutions for kids and adults enjoying and learning about the animals around the park. From birds, reptiles, bats all sorts of mammals, they are all amazing and you can discover and see them up front! Here they have children farm, bird sanctuary that you can get in and see birds up close. It is amazing! They also have a very good selection of event whenever there is something to celebrate. Like this time is the Halloween, people came with costumes and it is very nice to see people participating.

The Adventure

You cannot see and visit the entire park in one day. Most of the families have a year subscription to get in when days are sunny and continue their adventure at Pairi Daiza. Us, we are blessed to received tickets as a gift twice. Amazing! We are looking forward to enjoying the next visit with Laia, we are thinking of getting the year pass. Here is a link to the SEASON PASS.

The tickets online are cheaper than buying it at the park. The season pass makes you have unlimited access during the season!

Laia was very excited and now she has her eyes wide open looking at different sorts of animals we showed her. She is interactive and is learning to say each animal name out loud. She loves the Panda, Tian Bao, the white tiger, hippo, giant gorilla and the elephants.

The food inside is reasonable for a small family or couple. I saw most of the big groups having to bring their own water and sandwiches. Budget wise you can do what fits for you and your group!

Here are some of our photos from the day tour:

I could not take some photos closer to the animals, especially those wild ones because it is prohibited to get too close to the barriers between the animals and people. We saw the panda sleeping and the baby was eating bamboo! Laia went hype when she saw real brown bear and tiger for the first time!

That’s all for today from our little family adventure at Pairi Daiza, we are looking forward to visiting new places and learn together with our pre-schooler Laia!

  3. Zoos and parks are so exciting, there’s so much to see, observe, and learn! Having toddlers gives me the excuse to go regularly 😝 It breaks my heart when some of these places are no good for the people or the animals and it makes it that much better when we find the good places, clearly this is on that list!
